Hello everyone

Remember to study for the next exam, which it'll be on Tuesday. Today and yesterday we were practicing simple descriptions about sculptures, and a similar activity will appear on the exam, in which I'll give a picture and some information about the sculpture and you have to describe it with simple sentences. 

Here you have the example we did today in the classroom about a penguin sculpture:

It's very big 

It's made of plastic 

It's new 

It's a realistic sculpture

I like/I don't like it because it's... 

Remember that you can use connectors to make the writing more interesting, like but, because, and, so...

As you see, you know enough vocabulary to speak about its size (big, small), material (stone, ice,  wood, plastic, clay), age (new, old), style (realistic, abstract) and tell you personal opinion (if you like it or not and why).

Recordad que habrá examen el martes, así que estudiad este finde. Hoy y ayer estuvimos practicando descripciones sencillas a partir de esculturas, y aparecerá una actividad sencilla en el examen, donde os daré una imagen y un poco de información y tendréis que redactar frases sencillas.

Aquí tenéis el ejemplo que hicimos en clase de una escultura de un pingüino:

Es muy grande

Está hecho de plástico

Es nueva

Es una escultura realista

Me gusta/no me gusta porque....

Recordad que podemos usar conectores para que la redacción quede más elaborada:

because --> porque

so --> por lo que, así que

Como ves, sabes el suficiente vocabulario para hablar acerca de su tamaño (grande, pequeño) material (piedra, hielo, madera, plástico, cerámica), edad (nuevo, viejo), estilo (realista o abstracto) y decir tu opinión personal (si te gusta o no y por qué)

Hello!

Today we were doing a worksheet in the classroom that you have to complete, but I think almost everybody finished it in the class.

The real homework is to read the text of the classbook (page 67 - Read more! - Special days) and do the exercise 1 of page 80 of the activity book.

Hoy hicimos una ficha en clase que tenéis que terminar, pero creo que casi todo el mundo la acabó en clase.

Lo que sí que tenéis que hacer de deberes es leer el texto de la página 67 del classbook (Read more! - Special days) y hacer el ejercicio 1 de la página 80 del Activity book.

Hello again!

After this long weekend, we have to work again. Remember that you have to do an essay on your notebook for tomorrow. The essay is about what did you do at the weekend (Just one day, and you can invent).

Here you have an example that you can take into account in order to write yours. You can copy the words in black but you have to change the ones in green. You can crerate your own essay by yourselves, which I encourage you to do.

Yesterday I woke up at 9:30 am, and I had breakfast. I drank orange juice. In the morning I read a book, and I ate a sandwich for lunch. In the afternoon I studied German. At 9:00 pm I had dinner. I watched TV and I went to bed at 11:00pm.

Después de este puente toca trabajar otra vez. 

para mañana tenéis que hacer una redacción en la libreta. Esta redacción es sobre lo que hebís hecho un día de vacaciones (podéis inventar). Arriba tenéis un ejemplo que podéis tener en cuenta. Podéis copiar las palabras en negrita y sustituir las que están en verde con vuestras propias ideas. También podéis inventar la redacción desde cero, que será más valorada.

Remember that you have to finish page 97 of the Activity Book, because tomorrow we will correct it. Additionally, you will have to do the oral exposition about ancient civilizations this Monday (5).
